Nicky van den Bos
Nicky joined IWG in August 2020 as our experienced events and operations lead. Her 10 years’ experience spans both New Zealand and the United Kingdom in a range of National Sports and Commercial Organisations. Most recently she led the events department at New Zealand Cricket, responsible for planning and executing live international men’s and women’s cricket matches across the country.
In her role as Programme Director for IWG, Nicky will lead all planning and preparations for hosting the 8th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport in Auckland, New Zealand for both our physical and virtual audiences. In addition she will lead on other key programmes such as the Brighton plus Helsinki 2014 Declaration and the Sport NZ Women and Girls Summit in 2021.

Charlotte is a professional programme and project manager, who specialises in operational planning and delivery, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, problem-solving and risk management.
Charlotte will oversee the staging of the Sport NZ Women + Girls Summit in September 2021 and continue the excellent work done to date on the 8th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport in May 2022. The latter is one of the “big four” women’s sports events coming to Aotearoa between 2021 – 2023, with the women’s World Cups in Rugby, Cricket and Football also being hosted. It is the largest global gathering of experts on gender equity in sport and physical activity, with 2,000+ expected across the physical-digital hybrid programme.

Marketing & Communications Manager
Peta joins the IWG team from Sky Television, where she worked as the Internal Communications & Engagement Manager for 3+ years, leading the overall communications and engagement programme for 1,100 employees. She led several campaigns and events for staff, including the communications programme for the COVID response team, and successfully launched Sky’s internal social network (Workplace by Facebook).
As IWG’s Marketing & Communications Manager, Peta will lead the national and international marketing and communications programme that supports WISPA and IWG’s strategic plans. She will be responsible for building the profile of and engagement with IWG through its key events and activities such as the 2022 IWG Conference, Women + Girls Summit and Captains Lunch.

Digital & Community Coordinator
Shanee first joined the IWG team in July 2020 on a 600-hour placement through AUT University, a pre-requisite to finish her Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Sport and Recreation double degree. She impressed IWG and its key strategic partners to such an extent, that she was offered part-time employment from the end of her internship through to the end of her degree, before moving into the newly created position of Digital & Community Coordinator, starting 1 March 2021.
In her full-time role, Shanee will coordinate all aspects of IWG digital activity and will be putting systems in place to support a very active online and offline community all around Aotearoa New Zealand. She will also be responsible for key digital and community strategies and projects planned as part of IWG delivery of the International Working Group (IWG) on Women & Sport Secretariat and World Conference 2018 – 2022.
