Submit your presentation idea now! Extended Deadline: 14 May 2021, 11.59pm New Zealand time
The International Working Group (IWG) on Women & Sport is developing a very exciting conference programme for May 2022, and we want to hear from you!
If you are an academic with research or insight to share, you need to submit your presentation idea with a partner that has applied your knowledge, such as a sporting organisation or community group. We want to see how your research was turned into a practical programme of action for women and girls.
Over the past six months, more than 150 members in our five global Innov8 Programming Teams have been working together to develop our conference framework. For the first time in its history, the IWG World Conference on Women & Sport will be delivered as a physical-digital hybrid. This means that you can present physically here in Auckland, New Zealand (broadcast online simultaneously), or present on video from a global location through our new digital hub.
This new design has been created in response to the potential ongoing impacts of COVID-19 on international travel. We will continue to load information about how to plan your trip to New Zealand and we are anticipating a fantastic global contingent. Our hybrid design will bring in voices from all corners of the globe. When you are filling in your submission form, you will be asked whether you would like to present physically or digitally, and if you have the ability to be flexible.
We are now looking for case studies, research and content from all over the world! And everything presented must be able to be applied practically. There are five conference themes and seven conference lenses and when you submit your presentation idea, you will be asked to choose one of each. We plan to offer live translation at-event and online. Currently, you can present in English, Spanish, French and Sign Language. We will be announcing more languages soon.
Every participant at the event will be looking for inspirational ideas they can use. Now is the time to share your story! We want to hear about the changes YOU are making. How did you develop your ideas? How did you apply them? What are you learning? What positive changes happened for women and girls?
We want to pass your story on, because we believe that ‘Change Inspires Change‘!
Your changes will inspire everyone’s changes. And we will be weaving everyone’s ideas together to help accelerate positive change worldwide.
Please read all submission information carefully to make sure that your presentation idea is submitted correctly for evaluation.
