IWG Facilitators FAQs

The following FAQs were updated on Friday 29 July 2022

Do I need to have experience as a facilitator to apply to become a facilitator?
No, there are different types of facilitator roles and we will provide training, so please apply if you are interested.

Do I have to pay for my registration to participate as a facilitator at the conference?
Yes, facilitators are responsible for covering the cost of their registration to the conference (including travel and accommodation).

The IWG World Conference is being delivered by Women in Sport Aotearoa, a small New Zealand charity. The conference is a not-for-profit, non-commercial event, and is being funded primarily by grants and sponsorship, therefore we are unable to provide complimentary registrations at this time.

I only have limited time, do I have to commit to facilitating lots of sessions?
No. You can tell us your availability during the application process.

I’m really interested in a specific theme or topic. Can I choose what session I facilitate?
We want people to have the opportunity to facilitate and contribute to sessions they are really passionate about. During the application process, you will asked to indicate the areas you are most interested in facilitating.
