  • À propos de nous

The International Working Group (IWG) on Women & Sport is the world’s largest network dedicated to “Autonomiser les femmes et les filles - Faire progresser le sport“. It is fully aligned to the 17x United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 5: “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”.

Established in 1994, the IWG advocates for and runs programmes globally to support gender equity in sport and physical activity year-round.

It developed and remains guardian of the Déclaration de Brighton plus Helsinki 2014, which now has the commitment of nearly 600 signatories worldwide. Every four years, it stages the IWG World Conference on Women & Sport, the world’s largest gathering of experts in the field.

Le groupe de travail informel est régi par le IWG Global Executive. The current Secrétariat du GTI 2018-2022 is held by Aotearoa New Zealand.
